Fishability QLD (Queensland) have a new website to support their wonderful activites for the disadvantaged in South East Queensland
We were introduced to Fishability QLD by a contact as they were aware they needed a new website, and as a registered not for profit organisation with very charitable ideals, we were happy to extend our community benefit plan for them.
To this end, we set about guiding them to get the right name, build a great looking site (thanks to their wonderful graphic artist) and put together a simple and easy to use website for them to showcase their work and to hopefully receive further sponsorship and further clients to work for.
Fishability QLD formed through a partnership between “Bribie Island Boat Charters” and several smaller Community Groups over the past years. Fishability QLD provide a range of socially inclusive fishing opportunities for people who are vulnerable, marginalised and have complex needs.
Fishability QLD‘s qualified staff and dedicated volunteers, head out into Bribie Island’s Pumicestone Passage on 8-12-seater BBQ boats (offered in kind by Bribie Island Boat Charters) and compete in a friendly yearlong fishing competition called “The Bribie Island Boat Charters Challenge”. Community onshore fishing and other fishing events in varying accessible locations are also offered to participants.
Fishability QLD has a vision for a community where all people, regardless of their circumstances, are empowered to break through social isolation and repair their health and wellbeing by going fishing. Website Essentials is very proud to support Emma and her team on this very worthy enterprise. If you or your business would like to get involved to help, simply visit fishability.com.au
